MOSCOW URBAN FORUM — is the largest international congress on the development challenges of global megacities. The Forum has been held annually since 2011.

MUF brings together representatives of city administrations of Russia and the world, architects, urban planners, developers, heads of financial companies, investors, technological startups, media representatives and average citizens.

MUF Fest is an open program of the Moscow Urban Forum 2017 on city communities, private initiatives and projects that change everyday life. For the first time, the Festival have hosted a business program this year. It have been held on July 6-7 in the Community Stage hall, where presentations and discussions on megacity community development took place.

In addition, during the four days of the Festival (July 6-9), the city’s open-air venues hosted public lectures and interviews with star speakers from the Forum and workshops, a number of running tours, independent music concerts, an exhibition of urban art and pitch-sessions from city start-ups.

The MUF Community Awards is the first multidisciplinary awards ceremony for urban communities, independent projects, private ventures and start-ups that have all made a significant contribution to the development of Moscow. In 2017, there were eight award categories for the first time. Among the nominees are projects that are making a real difference to the life of the city, promoting Moscow in the international market, and integrating the city into new professional networks. The nominees are selected by an advisory council composed of professionals and experts put forward by the awards’ organising committee. Winners are chosen by public vote based on the list of nominees published on the official site of the Mayor of Moscow.
