MUF Community Fest is an open program of the Moscow Urban Forum 2017 on city communities, private initiatives and projects that change everyday life. For the first time, the Festival is hosting a business program this year. It will be held on July 6-7 in the Community Stage hall, where presentations and discussions on megacity community development will take place. In addition, during the four days of the Festival (July 6-9), the city’s open-air venues will host public lectures and interviews with star speakers from the Forum and workshops, a number of running tours, independent music concerts, an exhibition of urban art and pitch-sessions from city start-ups.
Lectures will be given at the festival by experts from around the world, including Steven Raspa, regional network director of Burning Man; the Brazilian Julius Wiedemann, Executive Editor for Design and Pop Culture at Taschen, Geoff Mulgan, CEO of NESTA (an independent innovation foundation operating in the United Kingdom and globally); and Mara Balestrini, Research Director at Ideas for Change and a human computer interaction researcher.
