On 17–22 July 2018, Zaryadye Park will host the Festival of the Moscow Urban Forum. This year’s theme is «Connect Generations».
The programme is divided into three parts:
The lecture and educational part of the Festival is aimed at providing clear answers to vital questions with the participation of famous Russian and foreign architects, economists, scientists and business representatives by means of lectures and discussions. How can a city become better for older people? How can the common property of an apartment building best be managed? How to address the issue of beggars and stray animals? How to detect the needs of citizens and start a business? What will happen with the housing market, and how should the quality of renovation projects be evaluated? How to tell a child about your city and how to notice the beauty of a place you walk past every day?
As part of the cultural and entertainment programme there will be premiere screenings of films about the world’s megacities from Beat Films, an urban start-up competition, theatrical, musical, urban performances and workshops from Playtronica and German artists from Raubdruckerin. Visitors will be able to taste street food from Moscow’s best start-up eateries, sign up for tours and quests around the capital, take part in a photo contest, dance a waltz on the stage of the amphitheatre and, once the sun goes down, attend a large concert of independent alternative music with artists from all over the world.
Festival visitors will also be able to get a work out in the park: single fitness pass FitMost will bring together several studios for to organise sporting events. For example, people will be able to do yoga on a floating bridge, with a view of the city centre.
