Marat Husnullin has been working as the Appointed Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Construction since 2010. With his involvement, building height restrictions to maintain the city's historic appearance and land use provisions inside the Boulevard Ring were approved, while the demolition of over 2,000 historic buildings and constructions was stopped. In coordination with Marat Khusnullin the Council of Architecture, whose members include authoritative Russian and foreign architects, was established in 2013. The Council will monitor the implementation of the single architecture and urban planning policy in Moscow. Marat Khusnullin also supervises the construction policy in New Moscow.
Before working at the government of Moscow Marat Khusnullin has been working for 9 years as the Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities of the Republic of Tatarstan. He also worked as the General Director for the State Unitary Enterprise Power Generation Association (PEO) Tatenergo, Ak Bars Building Trade and Industrial Company, Kazan, Interplastservice Company Marat Husnullin has a PhD (Economics), he graduated from Kazan Financial and Economic Institute as a qualified economist.
