Urban Health Agenda. World>Russia>Moscow
The research is devoted to the analysis of current challenges to the health of the population of the world's largest megacities, assessment of the most significant environmental health risk factors, as well as consideration of the best international practices for implementing public health principles in the development of the urban environment.

Research of the best world practices in the field of standards of healthy construction and design of the urban environment

Research of metropolitan cities and their management systems: «The age of agglomerations. World>Russia>Moscow»
The goal of the project is to identify the best practices for managing the development of a megalopolis on the agglomeration scale, as well as to describe the most effective development tools and models used by global leaders.

The Health of Megacities. The International Rankings of Leader Cities in the Urban Health Agenda
The study aims to introduce an international ranking of the "health" of various megacities in the world and assess the degree of integration of Urban Health into their management models. Also, the study includes an overview of the best administrative practices in terms of tools and mechanisms for assessing the effects of the implementation of urban projects and programmes for the health of citizens.
The Sustainable Development of Moscow The Integration of UN SDGs into the Administration of Megacities
The UN Sustainable Development Goals are being proactively embedded in the administrative practices of the world's largest megacities. The UN's methodology helps assess the impact of the large-scale changes introduced by Moscow on key areas of the life of its residents compared to other megacities around the world.
City in Shape. Step by Step to Fight the Global Obesity Epidemic
We seek to draw attention of all the possible stakeholders (society, business representatives, experts and city authorities) that could assist in implementation of pilot solutions combatting the problem of obesity spreading in Moscow.

We analyzed the world's best practices that provide solutions to combat overweight and obesity. We have also studied the experience of Russia and Moscow and constructed a spatial index that assesses urban environment factors affecting the risk of overweight and obesity in Moscow.

In the end we developed a list of recommendations for the Moscow City Government that could help reduce overweight and obesity burden.
Silver Megacity. Strategies and Tools for Administration amidst the consequences of an Ageing Urban Population
The study attempts to identify approaches, strategies and measures used by megacities to provide effective administration amidst the consequences of an ageing population, in terms of adapting the urban environment and social services, as well as keeping the dynamics of the social and economic impact at a sustainable level.
BREEAM® Valuation of Residential Building in Moscow
Analytical Centre evaluated a residential building located in Moscow (Sudostroitelnaya Street, 15) in partnership with Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction, National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NRU MGSU) and research centre "Razvitiye Goroda". Valuation was conducted in compliance with BREEAM® — sustainability assessment method for masterplanning projects, infrastructure and buildings — that was developed in the UK and now is used in 84 countries around the world.

Children Alert. Addressing Healthy Childhood in the City
This study aims to determine behavioral patterns among children and teenagers in urban environment. We anticipate to develop tools that would help to transform urban environment in accordance with children and teenagers needs.
Feel the Difference. Urban Planning Policies in the World’s Leading Megacities
The main goal is to reveal the key trends in urban planning policies of the world's biggest megacities in comparison to Moscow.
Hidden Costs of Mental Well-Being in Urban Environment
The purpose of this research is to identify the key risk factors that influence mental well-being of city dwellers. We will develop an approach to assess urban environment in terms of mental health and then produce guidelines that would help Moscow to address this challenge.
Pilot Valuation of Residential Buildings and Zones According to Standards for Design and Construction
We seek to conduct a comparative valuation of residential buildings, public spaces or urban blocks using existing methodologies like BREEAM®, WELL™ и FITWEL® certification standards. Such projects could broaden our understanding of the effects that could be obtained through implementation of the above-mentioned certification standards in Russian construction industry.

Description
A series of scientific and practical seminars on key issues of urban development within the Urban Health research program. In the course of the work students prepared their own reviews of management models of some cities and produced descriptions of key health risks for the citizens.

Goal
To get under-graduate students of Moscow City University acquainted with basic theories of urban studies and Urban Health approach.
Description
Students got themselves familiar with vocabulary used by urban researchers and planners, immersed into urban geography, got acquainted with approaches to design healthy urban environment and learned about the research agenda of the MUF Analytical Center. Students also completed valuation of several public spaces in Moscow using Healthy Streets methodology.

Description
Analytical Centre enlisted leading academic and industry experts to give lectures throughout this course. We also shared the main findings of our original research in the field of Urban Health. More than 300 employees of Moscow Complex of Urban Economy and Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction participated in this course.

Student Field Trip to Krasnodar

Goal
To give a comprehensive outlook of the impact of the urban environment on human health in Krasnodar and to get students acquainted with the existing approaches of evaluating the urban environment and tools to reduce risks to the citizens health.
Description
Students conducted interviews with Krasnodar residents, performed urban environment analysis and field studies, evaluated streets according to the Active Design and Healthy Streets criteria. Field trip participants presented the preliminary results of their analysis to the Chief architect of Krasnodar and gave talk at a meeting with the students of the Faculty of Socio-Economic Geography at the Kuban State University.

Open educational course "City as a Cure" at MUF-2021

To give introduction to the principles of designing healthy cities and to review current approaches and particularities of the relevant construction regulations.
Description
Russian and foreign specialists gave participants talks in the fields of Urban Health, public health, medicine, architecture and salutogenic design. The lecturers focused on topics related to creating conditions for graceful ageing in urban environment, maintaining active lifestyle and mental health of urban citizens.
