Who came up with this idea?
What is it?
The children's cinema lecture club is located in the Pioneer Cinema on Kutuzovskiy Avenue. Every Sunday, directors, animators, actors and scholars interact with young audiences and show classic Soviet cartoons and films for children and teenagers, movies from the Soyuzmultfilm, Disney and Ghibli studios, and other simply great films.
What have they accomplished?
These professionals have created a true educational atmosphere beyond the classroom. They introduce a new audience to the art of film and film projection, and teach them to not just watch, but to see; they discuss and analyse important cultural, historical and social themes with kids. Inspired by films and cartoons they've just seen, the kids then create actual objects of art.
