Modern mega-cities contain evidence of the lives and heritages of many generations of their citizens. In the dynamic and ever-changing modern city, efforts to preserve the heritage of the past may conflict with growth and other development-oriented objectives, but it can also serve as a harmonious complement. To meet the challenge of effectively integrating objects of cultural heritage into urban social and economic life and to adapt them to the requirements of modern life, different countries and cities must use their own approaches and tools that take into account their national characteristics

  • How do we preserve the objects of culture? What mechanisms exist for financing the restoration of the cultural heritage sites?
  • What role can the urban population and civil activism have in helping government authorities protect urban cultural heritage sites?
  • How can we establish an efficient oversight system for cultural heritage objects?
