Carlo Ratti - Senseable Cities

#Star speaker keynote #Special Events
02 July
Today, we live, work and have fun in a very different way than we did a few decades ago, thanks in large part to the network that has brought most people together on the planet. Likewise, today we are at the beginning of a new technological revolution: the Internet has entered the physical space. The traditional area of architecture and design has become “the Internet of things”. Like the first wave of the Internet, it has opened doors to a variety of applications that can cover many areas, from manufacturing to citizen participation, from energy and transportation to public hygiene. All of this requires rethinking the response to the changes brought about by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Professor Carlo Ratti of MIT’s Senseable City Laboratory will offer a critical approach to addressing these issues.
