Mission Possible. Engineering Infrastructure for Sustainable Urban Development

#Showcase #Transformation of Urban Technologies and Science
02 July
13:00–14:00
Centaurus Hall
Experts predict that 230 billion square metres of housing will need to be built by 2060 in order for it to be solved. At the same time, countries are taking steps to fulfil the obligations under the Paris Agreement and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations. The combination of these circumstances has prompted countries to search for solutions that can help them rethink the repair and maintenance of existing houses and neighbourhoods, as well as take into account the latest sustainable construction technology. The global task here is to create conditions for the competent distribution of capacity and the use of energy-efficient technologies. This will ensure the healthy operation of all systems of the city, becoming the basis of its sustainable development, and the reliable, high-quality and efficient operation of the power grid will meet modern requirements for a comfortable urban environment.
  • What specific engineering systems need to be considered for use at the city and district levels?
  • What technologies are used to ensure an energy-efficient and sustainable approach to the supply of resources?
  • What innovations exist in the world for energy-efficient development of territories and transformation of areas of mass development, as well as historic districts?
