An innovative service of searching for people by photo. Having taken a photo of a person or downloaded it from the gallery, it is possible to find their look-alikes. FindFace automatically finds faces on the photos and performs a search of people bearing the maximum likeness to the selected person. So far, the search is working only on the VKontakte social network. To improve the accuracy of the search results, it is possible to set the age, the city and relationship. With the app, it is possible to view the profile of a person found, add them to the list of likes and send them a Friend Request. The developers state that the accuracy of search by photo is over 70 %. According to them, the service analyses a billion photos in less than one second.

Over a period of one-and-a-half weeks of operation, the number of FindFace active users reached 100 thousand. FindFace has become the world's first dating service which makes use of face recognition on photos. The basis of FindFace is a face recognition algorithm created by the Russian company N-Tech.Lab which was the winner the world championship conducted at the end of last year by Washington University.
