The MUF 2018 mobile application is designed specifically for guests and participants of the Moscow Urban Forum 2018, which takes place in Zaryadye Park from July 17 to 22. It will help you get oriented on the Forum's site, review the business and festival program, and also stay up-to-date with news about the Forum. Participants in the business program have additional functionality like creating personal schedules that integrate with the mobile device calendar, setting meeting appointments and an instant messenger for communicating with other participants. Authorization for the application is accomplished by scanning the QR code on the participant's badge.
"I have already installed this app on my smartphone and tested it out. The navigation is simple and intuitive. A few clicks, and you have the whole MUF-2018 program on your mobile phone. There is also a handy map that helps you navigate freely around Zaryadye Park," said Sergey Lyovkin, Head of the Moscow Urban Development Policy Department.
After finding an event of interest, just touch the name of the zone or the lecture hall where it is taking place, and the application will highlight its location on the map. Touch the screen once more, and the application finds a route. You can search for interesting events based on the topic, speaker or the name of the hall, and you can familiarize yourself with event materials directly on your mobile device screen. The application is available in two languages – Russian and English.
"There are two tabs in the Program section: Business Program and Festival. The first will provide information about the discussion schedule and plenary sessions, and will present information on the speakers and moderators. The second will orient you to the rich program for the Connecting Generations festival and will describe the excursions, dance and sports programs, premieres, workshops and master classes, yoga on a Floating bridge, and creative team performances," the head of the Department explained.
