Zero Emissions. Sustainability as a New Focus of Transportation Policy

In post-industrial cities transport is the critical source of environmental pollution. The world is engrossed by the idea of sustainable development, in which transport often becomes the key target in the fight with pollution. Cities race to curb the use of petrol and diesel, tighten regulations for cars, creating a more convenient public transport and good conditions for carsharing, providing infrastructure for cyclists, pedestrians, scooters, gyroscooters and other new (or old and well-forgotten) means of transportation.

  • What are the most promising ways for making urban transport more eco-friendly?
  • How can we make sure we are not going to extremes the fight against cars?
  • What changes can be made simply by changing the citizen’s transport behaviour?
  • What will green mobility look like in the cities?
