Alexey Katkov

Aleksey Katkov graduated from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, and in 2008 he completed the Executive MBA programme at Harvard Business School.

In 2000, he joined Mail.Ru Group as an Account Manager, and in 2002, became the Head of the Sales Department. In 2007, Aleksey headed the whole commercial unit of the holding company as Commercial Director and Vice President, and then for eight years was responsible for increasing the company's turnover and searching for new sources of income. 

In 2012, Katkov also became Director for International Development, and in 2013, under his leadership, Mail.Ru Group opened an office in the United States to promote My.com products — international projects of the company.

In April 2015, Aleksey left the holding after 15 years of work. In the autumn of the same year, he was appointed First Vice President for Operations of JSC Sistema Mass Media, a subsidiary of JSFC Sistema. On the basis of SMM it was planned to create a corporation venture fund for investments in Internet assets.

In April 2016, the fund began operating under the brand Sistema Venture Capital (Sistema_VC) and Aleksey became its President.

Since April 2018, he has served as Managing Partner of PJSC JSFC Sistema. Aleksey Katkov is responsible for the digital line of business. In particular, he supervises the digital transformation of Children's World (Detskiy Mir), as well as the existing funds of JSFC Sistema.

Aleksey Katkov is fond of badminton and is a Candidate Master of Sports.
