Completed a RANEPA management course in the field of culture (2018)

Has over 15 years' work experience in the field of culture. The aim of her work: the creation and development of new large cultural institutions.

Participated in the creation of Artplay and the launch of Garage; has organised over 150 exhibitions and events.

Director of the Museum of Moscow since 2013. The museum is situated in Proviantskiye Sklady, a national listed building. It dates back to 1896 and has a unique collection of 1 million artifacts relating to life in the capital. The museum has brought history together with the present day since 2013. It is dedicated to the city and its citizens, the history of Moscow and the many facets of the present-day megalopolis. One of the top 5 most visited city museums since 2015. It contains several smaller museums: The Moscow Archeology Museum, the Old English Court Museum, the Lefortovo History Museum, and the Gilyarovsky Centre.

Winner of the Caryatid Cultural Management award (2012). Winner of the Made in Russia award in the Museum Studies category (2014). Recipient of the Russian Academy of Arts' Shuvalov medal (2014). The museum was included on the long list of The Art Newspaper Russia (2016). Awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Moscow Duma 'For Work With City Communities' (2017). The museum's archaeological exhibition was included in the Moscow Urban Forum's shortlist (2018). The Gilyarovsky Centre was included in the Guardian's Top 13 best new museums and galleries in Europe (2018).

Alina Saprykina is a member of the ICOM (International Council of Museums) and the International Committee for the Collections and Activities of Museums of Cities. She coordinates the Urban Museums Section at the Union of Museums of Russia (2018).
