Angelina is a journalist, expert at the German-Russian Exchange (Berlin), Director of Environmental Information Bureau. Since 1999, she has been working for the Russian and international mass media. She is presently writing for Kommersant, RBC, Takie Dela, Colta.ru, Thomson Reuters Foundation, Kilmaretter.info, The Science Magazine, Open Democracy, The Conversation, and n-ost. She is the editor of the "Ecology and Law" quarterly magazine.
She specialises on topics of environmental policy, green economy, economics and politics of climate change, climate negotiations at UNO, civil society movements on environment and sustainable urban development.
She is a graduate of the Saint Petersburg State University of Service and Economics. She has received scholarships from Reuters Program at the Oxford University (2006), Environmental Leadership Program, UC Berkeley, California (2012), Humphrey Fellowship, UC Davis, California (2018-2019). Since 2008, she has been an observer of UN climate negotiations.
She teaches at the Journalism Faculty of St. Petersburg State University and University of Information Technology, Mechanics and Optics; she arranges media training sessions on environmental journalism in the cities of the Russian Federation, Eastern European, and Central Asian countries. From 2010–2012, she managed a media project Water Stories dedicated to water-related journalism in the Central Asian countries and the Aral Sea basin.
