Boris Volpe

Supervised the scientific team and managed projects on the introduction of new technologies at a number of large industrial enterprises. From 1995–1997, he worked as a regional sales manager for Mars LLC in Novosibirsk. 

In 1997, he began serving as Head of the Central Russia division, then Head of the Moscow and Central Russia region at RJR.

In 2013, he was appointed Director General of MaximaTelecom JSC. Since the establishment of the company, he has supervised the implementation of free public Wi-Fi networks on public transport, in particular in the Moscow and St. Petersburg metro systems. Under Volpe's leadership, MaximaTelecom was the first in Russia, and one of just a few companies in the world to prove the effectiveness of the advertising model of Wi-Fi traffic monetisation.

Doctor of Engineering Sciences; member of the New York Academy of Sciences. Author of 189 publications and monographs on physics. Holds 70 copyright certificates. He has an MBA from Open University Business School (2003), and also graduated from INSEAD (2006).
