Nyuta Federmesser is the founder of VERA Hospice Charity Fund (2006). Currently, VERA supports the Center for Palliative Medicine and 8 hospices in Moscow, as well as over 60 hospices in other regions of Russia. The Fund provides help for families with incurable children in Moscow, the Moscow Region, and other regions in Russia (over 350 families in total). It is currently building the "Lighthouse" - the first hospice for children in Moscow, simultaneously providing training for hospice employees, informing the society about the objectives and goals of hospice care, initiating and supporting changes in legislation that benefit the rights of terminally ill patients.
