Ric Stephens

President, ISOCARP

Ric Stephens is the President of the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) representing more than 600 professional planners in over 80 countries. ISOCARP Headquarters are located in The Hague.

As a non-governmental organization ISOCARP is recognized by the United Nations (UN), the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UNHCS/UN-HABITAT), and the Council of Europe. The Society also has a formal consultative status with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Ric is also a member of the Global Alliance for Urban Crises (GAUC) and Global Planners Network (GPN).

Mr. Stephens is currently an adjunct instructor for Marylhurst University, Oregon State University, Portland Community College, and the University of Oregon where he teaches courses in urban planning, international development, global business and unmanned aircraft systems. 

Stephens Planning & Design LLC, Mr. Stephens’ consultancy, is engaged in projects and programs in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and internationally.
