Cecily Corti is the head of the public organization Vinzenzgemeinschaft St. Stephan, founded in 2003, and also runs a homeless shelter, VinziRast-CortiHauses, which opened in 2004. In addition, Corti is the head of other VinziRast organizations that support the homeless: VinziRast Dormitory, VinzciRast Center, VinziChance and VinziRast Home.
In 2006, Corti received the Viktor Frankl Award for her social activities. In 2008, she received the Knight's Cross (Chevalier of the Legion of Honor) and the Leopold Kunschak Award, and in 2010, she was awarded the Gold Medal for Services to the Republic of Austria. In 2013, she received the Bruno Kreisky Prize for Human Rights.
