Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences, Head of the Sociology Department, Head of the Fundamental Sociology programme, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Head of the Department of Theoretical Sociology and Epistemology of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Head of the Centre for Sociological Research at RANEPA and the International Centre for Contemporary Sociological Theory of the Moscow School for Social and Economic Sciences. Since 2011, he has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Sociology of Power magazine.
In 2003, he received his MA in Sociology from the University of Manchester. In 2007, he earned a Candidate of Sociological Sciences degree, defending his thesis on the topic "Frame theory as a tool for the sociological analysis of the everyday world".
