He has been recently appointed Deputy General Manager of Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolitan Institution; he’s in charge of the Metropolitan Project and Partnerships.
He served just before as Director of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolitan Project, in the dedicated governmental mission (mission interministérielle pour le projet métropolitain Aix-Marseille-Provence).
He also serves as Chair of the Working Party on Urban Affairs at the Organization for Economic Co-operation for Development –OECD- (since 2004).
He’s a member of several international and national committees or associations (INTA, ANR, PUCA, PIRVE, METREX, Labex Dynamite) and has a long list of international expertises all around the world (Hong Kong, Moscow, Stockholm, Tokyo, Hanoi, Seoul, Melbourne, Mexico).
He is an occasional lecturer on territorial development and metropolitan strategies at Paris La Sorbonne University and at the Political Sciences School (Paris) and he has extensively published: 6 books and more than 150 articles.
He has been awarded as a Knight of the National Order of Merit.
