Olga Tkacheva

Tkacheva Olga graduated from S. M. Kirov Gorky State Medical Institute, Medical Faculty with distinction and the Therapy internship in S. M. Kirov Gorky State Medical Institute. In 1993 Tkacheva Olga defended her thesis, in 1999 - a doctorate thesis. In 2006 she had earned the title of professor. 28 years of clinical work experience, 20 years of scientific and pedagogical work. Since 2013 she is a Senior geriatrician of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation. Since 2015 she is a director of Russian Clinical Research Center ​f​or Gerontology. She is an author of more than 180 scientific publications, 11 monographs.

She headed the working groups and was a member of committee of experts on the preparation of national guidelines «Diagnosis and treatment of hypertension», the recommendations on diagnosis and treatment of hypertension in pregnant women, national guidelines on diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases during pregnancy, guidelines on general risk reduction of disease and complications in women, practical guidelines on the use of hormone replacement therapy in peri- and postmenopausal women, national guidelines «Prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases», guidelines for doctors «Basic Principles for the prevention and treatment of thrombosis in tables and charts», guidelines «Dispensary observation of patients with chronic non-communicable diseases and high-risk patients».

Olga Tkacheva research interests in recent years are devoted to mechanisms and patterns of the heart and blood vessels aging processes and their association with cellular replicative aging, the problems of the aging metabolic disorders, prevention and treatment of age-related diseases and geriatric syndromes.

Under her leadership, 13 candidate and 5 doctoral theses were defended.

She is a member of the European Society of Cardiology, the Russian Cardiology Society, the Russian Society for the prevention of non-communicable diseases.
