Ekaterina Shulman, political scientist, specialist on lawmaking issues, Assistant Professor of the Department of Public Administration, Institute of Social Sciences, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Ekaterina currently teaches at the Institute of Social Sciences, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, and is also a columnist for Vedomosti Newspaper. In 1996-1999, Mrs. Shulman was a specialist at the Department of General Policy, Administration of the city of Tula; in 1999 she was an editor of the special projects editorial team at RIA-Novosti. From 1999 to 2006, she held various positions at the State Duma of the Russian Federation: Deputy Assistant, Parliamentary Party Office Staff, Expert of Analytical Department, Central Administrative Office of the State Duma. From 2007 to 2011, she was a Director for Legislative Study at the RBN Consulting Company (PBN+Hill&Knowlton). Ekaterina Shulman has authored the books “Lawmaking as a Political Process” (2014) and “Practical Political Science: a Guide to Contact with Real Life” (2015).
