Luka Molinari is an architect, curator, critic, associate Professor of Theory of Architecture at Università degli Studi della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Italy.

In 2008 he received the PhD in Theory and History of Architecture at the TU Delft (NL). He writes as independent critic for Italian and international newspapers and magazines, such as: Corriere della Sera, La Stampa, L’Espresso, AD, Platform, Domus, Lotus, Abitare, Ottagono, Platform, Archis, L’architecture d’aujourd’hui, A+U and actually is the Editor in Chief of Platform magazine.

Since 1995 he is editor of the architecture and design series of Skira Publisher. He has been visiting professor at Cornell University of Architecture, Art, and Planning in Rome; Fondazione Fotografia Modena; Academy of Fine Arts of Guangzhou and Università di Camerino-Ascoli.

Between 2001 and 2004 he has been Scientific Director of Triennale di Milano for architecture and town planning sections and a member of its Scientific Board.

Between 2000 and 2003 he co-operates in the scientific direction of “Progetto Portaluppi” on behalf of Portaluppi Foundation curating the first comprehensive exhibition and catalogue on the Milanese architect.

Between 2007 and 2008 he’s cultural advisor for Italy at XXIII UIA World Congress Torino 2008, Transmitting Architecture.

From 2007 to 2017 he was the art director and main curator of Milan architecture gallery, SpazioFMG per l’Architettura.

In 2010 he’s been appointed curator of the Italian Pavilion at XII International Architecture Exhibition in Venice.

In the last years Luca Molinari has been devoting to competition management for private and public clients, art direction and curatorship for public exhibition and events. Among others:
Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma Masterplan Competition; Barilla Pavilion Competition; Volkhonka Mansion Competition in cooperation with The White City; S. Pellegrino Flagship Factory. The Starred International Architecture Competiton; Banque Libano-Française International Competition for new Headquarters in Beirut; International competition for the extension of the School at Loris Malaguzzi International Centre (Reggio Emilia, 2012);
As curator he follows temporary exhibitions and new museum’s concepts such as:
Pisa Architecture Biennale; Transport Education Centre in Doha, Qatar; Istanbul City Museum; exhibit and graphic design coordination of the 9 Clusters areas, at 2015 Milan Expo; US. Tales of Communities, ideas, products and lands of Reggio Emilia (2015-2016, Palazzo dei Musei, Reggio Emilia); Environments and Counter Environments. Italy. The New Domestic Landscape, MoMA, 1972 (with Mark Wasiuta and Peter T.
