Manfred Kuehne graduated as Architect at Technical University Berlin in 1987. From 1991 to 1995 he worked as a self-employed urban planner in Berlin. In 1995-1997 he was a Project Management at Architecture Workshop of the Berlin Senate Department for Construction and Housing. In 1997-2001 he was heading the Urban planning department of the city of Stralsund. In 2001-2008 Kuehne leaded the Superior Monument Protection Authority at the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development.
Since 2008 Manfred Kuehne is the Head of the Urban Planning and Projects Directorate at the Senate Department for Urban Development. He is a member of SRL (Association of town, regional and state planning) and DASL (German Academy for urban and regional planning).
