Victoria Wägner is a Projects Director at Publica, and has led many of the practice’s public realm strategies, visions, think pieces and cultural projects across central London.
Presently, Vicky is leading on a project for the Greater London Authority and Port of London Authority that makes a case for a cultural vision for the River Thames and is overseeing the development of a strategy for public realm improvements for the station approach area in Winchester. Other recent projects include a cultural research project investigating the importance of the creative industries to London, which has resulted in the publication Place, Spaces, Work: The Creative Industries in London.
Vicky has worked extensively in the City of London, leading the Barbican and Golden Lane Area Strategy, Vision for the Cultural Hub, and Liverpool Street Area Strategy for the City of London, which have all been adopted as policy. In the West End, she has directed Publica’s work in Covent Garden, most recently producing a cultural study and public realm strategy for eastern Covent Garden, as well as a public realm strategy for Kings Court. She has also led major vision and concept design projects nearby at Aldwych and Villiers Street respectively. Previously, Vicky has run projects studying Belgravia, Mayfair, Fitzrovia, Oxford Street, Southwark and Clerkenwell.
