Alexander Borodich graduated from the HSE, Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics, and SSE Russia (MBA). Borodich has been heading the Innovation & Research Commission of the International Aerospace Committee since 2018. From 2009 to 2010, he was director of marketing at Mail.ru Group. He was in charge of negotiating with key partners and was responsible for marketing the product line of the largest Russian IT company. From 2005 to 2009, Borodich managed the online business of the international IT company Acronis, which specialises in development of information security software. He is a successful Russian entrepreneur and venture investor. His investment portfolio includes over 100 tech startups. Borodich created the company Universa, one of the world leaders in the implementation of innovative solutions based on blockchain technology, a developer and integrator of digital transformation products for countries, cities, financial and industrial groups. Universa tokenized sugar with the UAE government and market leader Al Khaleej Sugar. In 2020, they launched a digital sugar exchange in the UAE. The company conducts projects for the tokenization of natural resources in Africa and South America and is also running the digital transformation of Tunisia, where it implemented a domestic blockchain project with digital signatures, smart contracts, digital labelling of passports, documents and goods.
