Alexey Danilov is M.D., professor, board member of the European Chapter of the International Academy for Design and Health, founder and director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Medicine, chief of the Department of Nervous Diseases at Sechenov University, initiator of the establishment of domestic standards in Healthy Living Environments, creator of the journal Healthy Built Environment, director of the international forum Brain Ecology and the festival Smart&Healthy Living. Alexey Danilov is the founder and director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Medicine (IMM). IMM works with leading domestic and international experts and organisations. In 2018, the institute, along with the International Academy of Design and Health as well as the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in Moscow, organised the 1st International Forum Sustainable Development and Cities of the Future: Economy, Health, Ecology, which was held in Moscow. The festival aimed to gather officials, scientists and business people to develop a concept for designing a sustainable, healthy environment in the Russian Federation. The institute initiated the establishment of the domestic standards for Healthy Living Environments and the Health Saving Technologies consortium. The latter aims to promote the implementation of technologies that improve people's health in design and construction. Since 2018, IMM has been publishing the journal Healthy Built Environment and teaching the design of a healthy environment through the principles of salutogenic design and sustainable development for architects, designers, developers, doctors, psychologists and other specialists. It also assesses the living environment (what impact the built environment has on health and productivity) and consults on the design and development of a healthy living environment (apartments, houses, schools, offices, medical and recreational institutions, settlements, eco-parks, urban areas, etc.) Research interests: environmental medicine, psychological health, corporate health, chronomedicine, stress management, neuroaesthetics, cognitive ergonomics, neurotherapy, environmental improvement technologies and the design of a healthy living environment, active longevity
