Borivoj Vokrinek (Borik) leads Strategic Advisory & Hospitality Research for the EMEA region at Cushman & Wakefield (NYSE: CWK), one of the largest real estate services firms globally with approximately 50,000 employees in 400 offices and 60 countries.
Borik is a seasoned hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience across Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific, during which he has been invited to speak at numerous conferences and authored several publications. His areas of expertise include strategic advisory within the hospitality sector, where he has advised on a wide range of projects such as hotel investment and expansion strategies, large mixed-use developments with hospitality components, the impact of major events or hotel development spatial planning.
Prior to joining C&W, Borik was the Regional Vice President of Feasibility & Development Finance for EMEA & South-West Asia at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. He also spent more than six years at Hilton Worldwide, where he headed the Feasibility & Investment Analysis team in the European & African region, based both at Hilton’s EMEA HQ in the UK and in Istanbul. His exposure to the Asia Pacific market includes 2 years in Shanghai and nearly 3 years in Sydney. In addition to his professional career, Borik is also a lecturer of Hotel Development & Asset Management Specialisations at Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland.
Borik holds four degrees, including a Bachelor in Economics and a Master of Science in International Economic Relations from the University of Economics in Prague, as well as a Bachelor in Hotel Management from the Hotel School Sydney and an MBA from Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia.
