Jill Warren is CEO of the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF), where she leads a team of skilled and passionate experts who promote cycling as a sustainable and healthy means of transport and leisure.
ECF’s 2030 strategic goals include:
Increasing cycling levels in Europe by 50 per cent compared to 2017 levels, with most of that growth coming from countries where cycling levels are currently low.
Reducing the rate of cyclists injured or seriously killed by at least 50%.
More political support for cycling, whereby cycling and other forms of active, sustainable mobility are prioritised in the mobility mix
Significantly more funding for high quality, safe cycling infrastructure, not just from EU Structural Funds, where our target is €6 billion for the next from EU Structural Funds, but from all levels of government in European countries.
Prior to joining ECF in 2020, Jill Warren spent over 20 years in progressively senior roles at major international law firms, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer at Bird & Bird LLP. She has also worked in the automotive, pharmaceutical and publishing industries.
A US and Dutch national, Jill hails from the Chicago area and has spent the past 30 years living and working in Germany, London and Brussels.
Jill is an avid every day and recreational cyclist who also enjoys seeing the world by bike on cycling holidays.
