Ekaterina graduated from the Urban Planning Department of Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. In her career, she has combined consultancy with work on architectural and urban development projects. From 2006 through 2009, she organised international architecture contests. During her work at the Territorial Development Institute from 2009 through 2014, she developed urban planning concepts for territorial development, residential housing designs and territory planning designs.
In 2014, she joined the team at Strelka design firm. During her work at Strelka, she took part in such projects as the Historical Cities of Moscow Region: Preservation and Development; A Strategic Master Plan as a Tool for Managing the Future; and Architectural Policy as a Driver of Urban Development. She managed the development of the Standard for the Improvement of Public Spaces and Streets in Moscow and the Standard for Comprehensive Territorial Development.
