Michael Berner

Mikhail Berner's been the head of Visa's Russian office since November 1, 2019. He has more than 20 years of experience in Russian and international companies. Throughout his career, Mikhail has held various management positions: he was involved with retail banking, consumer loans, product development, and marketing. Mikhail joined the team at the Russian Visa office after doing a stint as a member of the Management Board and head of the Directorate for Private Clients at Citi Russia. Prior to joining Citi Russia in 2002, Mikhail was in charge of customer and partner relationships at Dialogue Bank and also worked as head of marketing at DeltaBank. Mikhail Berner graduated from the Moscow Automotive and Roads Institute and also got a degree in financial management from the Financial Academy of the Government of Russia. Mikhail completed professional development training programs at the Business School of Columbia University, the University of California Berkley, and Harvard University.
