Olga Zakharova was born in Moscow in 1976. She obtained a degree from the Moscow State Academy of Applied Biotechnology. She then received a degree from HSE University and got a professional retraining diploma from Skolkovo Moscow School of Management.
In 1999, she started her own business, Agency for Extraordinary Adventures.
From 2005 to 2008, Olga Zakharova headed the fashion house Mia Shvili.
From 2008 to 2011, she was the Executive Director of the TV channel Dozhd.
From 2011 to 2015, she was the Director of Gorky Park.
Since November 2018, she has held the position of Deputy CEO of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects (ASI), heading office of tourism development at the Agency for Strategic Initiatives
