Patrick is a Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills in London. He has 30 years’ experience advising in the Infrastructure Sector. His expertise includes privatisations, a wide variety of public-private partnerships, major procurements and restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and also PFI. He is one of the most experienced PPP lawyers in the UK and is recognised as one of the UK’s leading Infrastructure lawyers.

Patrick has worked in a wide variety of sectors including rail, aviation, roads, power, nuclear and renewables. His experience includes advising London & Continental Railways, the developer of the High Speed 1 Railway in the United Kingdom, High Speed 2 Limited in relation to the High Speed 2 Railway, London Underground and Transport for London in relation to their PPP and PFI contracts, Tideway on the Thames Tideway London Super Sewer Project and EDF on the development and financing of the Hinckley Point C new nuclear power station.

Patrick graduated with a degree in Law from Peterhouse, Cambridge in 1985 and qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 1988.
