Sergey Tchoban is a Russian and German architect. He heads up the SPEECH Design Firm in Moscow and the Tchoban Voss Architekten in Berlin. He is a member of the Union of Architects of Russia and the Artists Union of Russia; an academician of the Moscow branch of the International Academy of Architecture; and an honourable member of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Union of German Architects (BDA). He has designed more than 40 structures in various cities across Russia, Germany and Italy, many of which have been awarded prestigious international awards. He's a founder of the Architectural Sketch Charity Foundation. He served as a member of the Skolkovo Foundation's Urban Development Council since 2011. Since 2013, he has served as a member of the Architectural Council of the Moscow City Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning. In 2018, he received the European Prize for Architecture. Since 2017, Choban has served as the curator and chair of the jury at the Russian Biennale for Young Architects.
